Director of Continuous Improvement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement a comprehensive strategy for continuous improvement across the organization to boost operational performance.

• Ensure alignment of continuous improvement efforts with the company's strategic goals and business objectives.

• Spearhead the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and eradicate inefficiencies.

• Champion initiatives aimed at waste reduction, productivity enhancement, and quality improvement of products.

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-achieving continuous improvement team.

• Educate employees at all levels on Lean principles, Six Sigma tools, and various process improvement methodologies.

• Cultivate a culture that promotes continuous learning and excellence in operations.

• Oversee and manage multiple continuous improvement projects concurrently, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

• Develop and track KPIs to gauge the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to discover opportunities and implement solutions.

• Act as a change agent to foster collaboration and alignment among departments.

• Analyze operational data to recognize trends, assess progress, and inform decision-making.

• Provide consistent updates and reports to executive leadership regarding improvement initiatives and their impacts.

• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices related to manufacturing and process improvement.

• Introduce innovative approaches to enhance operational excellence and sustain a competitive advantage.

• Ensure that improvement initiatives adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Advocate for a safe working environment through ongoing risk assessments and process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position focused on continuous improvement preferred.

• Demonstrated success in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence programs.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is mandatory; Master Black Belt certification is advantageous.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus.

• Profound knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement instruments.

• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and driving change at all organizational levels.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• Monday to Friday schedule.
