Director of Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for managing a portfolio of projects, project teams, and client relationships.

• Propel project execution, financial outcomes, staffing, operational excellence, and leadership development.

• Assist in the overall leadership of the designated market.

• Direct data center campus teams.

• Offer hands-on management support for specific projects.

• Oversee total budgets along with those of subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.

• Manage overall timelines and schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely delivery.

• Conduct quality control and verify subcontractor adherence to the contracted scope of work.

• Coordinate necessary inspections with local authorities.

• Supervise multiple projects concurrently.

• Review schedules, forecasts, risk assessments, and monthly project projections.

• Execute portfolio health assessments and manage contingency risks.

• Align resources across various projects and drive recovery of change orders.

• Ensure that profitability goals are met.

• Cultivate executive-level relationships and address escalated client issues.

• Engage in strategic planning and develop opportunities for repeat business.

• Mentor project managers and superintendents; identify potential future leaders.

• Conduct quarterly talent evaluations and formulate succession plans.

• Standardize processes, implement lessons learned, enhance project controls, and promote continuous improvement.

• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them for resolution.

• Maintain daily written logs of jobsite activities.

• Execute Field Superintendent responsibilities at multiple job sites when required.

• Ensure that deficiencies are addressed and monitor project activities through daily site inspections.

• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.

• Issue notices of non-compliance concerning quality or scheduling.

• Keep jobsites clean and organized.

• Identify and complete progress and final punch-list items.

• Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.

• Perform additional tasks as assigned by EverOn management.
