This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Oversee community engagement and needs assessment initiatives to support HealthSource Integrated Solutions' services across the state.
• Ensure community engagement activities are in line with the organization’s strategic goals and mission.
• Lead outreach efforts and collaborate with both internal and external partners.
• Represent statewide services at various local, state, and national events, including coalitions, workgroups, professional associations, forums, and meetings.
• Establish and nurture a statewide network of community contacts and collaborative relationships with service providers, agencies, organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, evaluate, and implement feedback from customers, communities, and stakeholders to enhance quality and inform organizational decision-making.
• Create and coordinate community education, awareness programs, presentations, informational sessions, outreach activities, and community discussions.
• Assist in the development of educational, promotional, and community-focused materials.
• Lead and manage Community Needs Assessment services for CMHCs and CCBHCs throughout Kansas.
• Develop and sustain a scalable methodology and infrastructure for the Community Needs Assessment.
• Define the scopes, timelines, stakeholder engagement strategies, data requirements, and deliverables for the CNA.
• Oversee the coordination of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
• Design and facilitate surveys, focus groups, listening sessions, interviews, and community forums.
• Analyze and integrate community feedback and data to pinpoint needs, gaps, assets, barriers, workforce considerations, and priorities.
• Produce CNA reports and deliverables, presenting findings to leadership, boards, staff, and community stakeholders.
• Assist organizations in translating CNA results into actionable priorities for planning, service delivery, partnerships, outreach, and strategy development.
• Monitor CCBHC requirements and update CNA methodology as necessary.
• Engage in organizational initiatives, meetings, training, planning, evaluation, reporting, documentation, and special projects.
• Coordinate or supervise supporting staff and resources as funding and capacity allow.
• Travel statewide as required.
• A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in public health, behavioral health, social work, psychology, sociology, communications, community development, human services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• A minimum of two years of experience in community engagement, outreach, stakeholder relations, program coordination, behavioral health, public health, human services, or related fields.
• Proven experience in developing and managing partnerships or collaborative initiatives involving multiple organizations, public agencies, community systems, or other stakeholders, especially with priority or underserved populations.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting or coordinating community needs assessments, community health assessments, environmental scans, or similar evaluative activities.
• Experience in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative information, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Expertise in facilitating surveys, focus groups, interviews, listening sessions, and community forums.
• Proven experience in leading community education, outreach, awareness, or engagement initiatives.
• Experience working within or across behavioral health, crisis response, suicide prevention, public safety, emergency response, child welfare, education, or related systems.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, coordinate activities, meet deadlines, and ensure follow-through on commitments.
• Ability to organize and synthesize information from various sources and communicate findings effectively.
• Willingness and ability to travel statewide as needed.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel purposes.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks.
• Prior experience with computers and basic computer proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new technologies, including software and phone systems.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Capability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 20 pounds.
