This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create substantial new business opportunities
• Foster long-lasting relationships with existing clients and partners
• Formulate and implement sales strategies to enhance client acquisition
• Present Boston Analytical company overviews to potential and existing clients
• Oversee the complete sales cycle from lead generation to conversion into active clients
• Sustain and expand current accounts through cross-selling and up-selling efforts
• Engage regularly with clients and work in conjunction with the project management team
• Draft, submit, and negotiate pricing contracts for services offered
• Meet sales revenue targets
• Collaborate with both local and national team members
• Keep Salesforce CRM data updated in real time
• Gather and share market intelligence with leadership and marketing teams
• Assist in marketing initiatives
• Participate in company-related off-site events and conferences as necessary
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field
• Over 7 years of sales experience in the Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Outsourcing sector, or at least 5 years with Boston Analytical
• Proven track record of acquiring new clients and generating new client revenue
• Capability to manage larger national accounts with annual revenues exceeding $2M
• Prior laboratory experience with analytical and/or microbiology testing is preferred
• Formal sales training is a plus
• Excellent skills in presentation, communication, analysis, customer service, negotiation, organization, verbal communication, time management, and technical documentation
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects at once
• Willingness to attend professional networking events outside of regular business hours as needed
• Readiness to travel within the U.S.
• Familiarity with USP microbiological procedures, HPLC/GC, dissolution, method validation, extractables and leachables testing, product release and stability testing, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
• Knowledge of the characterization of biologic drug forms, including LBPs
• Strong business insight and sales capabilities
• Ability to effectively utilize newly acquired knowledge and skills
• Self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and integrity
• Team-oriented and committed to the quality of company products, services, and personnel
• Travel within the U.S.
• Participation in company-related off-site events and conferences as required
