This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Spearhead the pursuit of new business opportunities in the Government strategic and commercial end-user sectors.
• Enhance market presence within key accounts and establish strategic partnerships that foster growth.
• Oversee capture initiatives and finalize deals in collaboration with engineering, contracts, operations, supply chain, proposals, and executive leadership.
• Formulate and implement business development strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.
• Recognize opportunities, create sales strategies, and finalize deals to drive bookings and revenue expansion.
• Identify, assess, and negotiate strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, product development, contracts, finance, and program management teams.
• Evaluate risks linked to new business opportunities and devise mitigation strategies.
• Engage with executives, board members, investors, and industry partners regarding business development initiatives and results.
• Lead the preparation, generation, delivery, and negotiation of proposals for strategic accounts.
• Manage several key accounts while maintaining data, contacts, and information in Salesforce.
• Observe market trends and customer feedback to guide product and sales strategies.
• Contribute to marketing materials and sales enablement tools.
• Provide competitive insights to Sales Intelligence and Product teams.
• Suggest new market approaches to enhance growth and profitability.
• U.S. citizenship is a requirement; EAD work permits, visa sponsorship, and permanent residence will not be considered.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in securing U.S. Government and commercial contracts.
• Experience in leading large pursuits through identification, qualification, and capture phases.
• Comprehensive understanding of ground assets that support SATCOM and related mission requirements.
• Strong connections to SATCOM, Radar, EW, COMINT/SIGINT, and other user communities.
• Proven experience in account management and customer engagement.
• Domain expertise in space operations, satellite communications, and ground infrastructure.
• Ability to stand for extended periods to support periodic tradeshows or events.
• Willingness to travel 30%–50% or as needed.
• Availability to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, the U.S. Government budget process, and the competitive landscape.
• Exceptional negotiation, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to convert market and customer insights into actionable plans with clear ROI.
• Strategic thinking capability and the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, reporting/tracking tools, and Salesforce.
• In-depth knowledge of complex capture processes such as Shipley or similar structures.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in business or marketing.
• Preferred: Active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
