This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Formulate and implement a focused business development strategy for commercial construction services.
• Identify companies with multi-location portfolios, expansion initiatives, renovation requirements, or national construction programs.
• Generate and oversee opportunities in sectors such as retail, restaurants, financial services, healthcare, industrial, distribution, hospitality, and commercial real estate.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers in construction, real estate, facilities, procurement, finance, operations, and executive roles.
• Conduct consultative discovery to gain insights into client portfolios, project pipelines, contractor models, and operational hurdles.
• Present capabilities in ground-up construction, design-build, tenant improvements, renovations, remodels, rebrands, and national rollout.
• Convert construction capabilities into quantifiable outcomes for clients, emphasizing execution consistency, cost predictability, expedited delivery, and enhanced brand standards.
• Create account strategies for regional and national entities with intricate, multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with estimating, construction, operations, finance, and subject matter experts to devise competitive solutions.
• Lead the development of proposals, presentations, RFP responses, commercial dialogues, and contract negotiations.
• Keep track of the pipeline, activity plan, and opportunity forecast within the company CRM.
• Observe market trends, client expansion tactics, and new construction opportunities.
• Represent Dexterra US at industry gatherings, client meetings, site tours, and other business development initiatives.
• Demonstrated business development experience in commercial construction, general contracting, design-build, construction management, or a related sector.
• Proven track record of developing and finalizing complex construction opportunities.
• Experience in selling to firms with multiple locations, regional or national portfolios, or ongoing construction requirements.
• Established connections within retail, restaurants, financial services, healthcare, industrial, distribution, hospitality, or commercial real estate will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction delivery methods, including ground-up construction, tenant improvements, renovations, remodels, and rollout initiatives.
• Ability to pinpoint client challenges and convert them into viable construction solutions that yield measurable business benefits.
• Confidence in fostering relationships with senior leaders in construction, real estate, facilities, procurement, finance, and operations.
• Experience in navigating RFPs, pricing negotiations, contract discussions, and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes.
• Excellent commercial judgment, communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work efficiently with estimating, construction, operations, finance, and executive leadership.
• Disciplined approach to pipeline management and experience with CRM systems.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and site inspections.
