This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Coordinate and execute strategies to enhance current business operations and seize new opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior executives to formulate strategic marketing and operational plans.
• Establish goals and determine methods to fulfill organizational growth initiatives focusing on regional markets and target clients.
• Assist the CEO in strategic planning efforts and related activities.
• Promote and market the Company’s Tribal 8(a) status and its capabilities.
• Identify revenue opportunities within both 8(a) and non-8(a) sectors.
• Track the Government’s annual small business objectives and agency expenditures.
• Evaluate the utilization of the small business community and suggest target agencies.
• Discover new clients, collaborative partners, and business prospects.
• Foster business growth within the existing client base.
• Participate in Industry Days and represent at client meetings as assigned.
• Arrange client introductions and networking events for the CEO.
• Provide debriefs on client interactions to the proposal manager and technical writers.
• Maintain the business development pipeline effectively.
• Keep track of identified opportunities and monitor competitor activities.
• Develop and present business development briefings and engage in meetings with clients, external vendors, and advisors.
• Oversee the CRM database related to business development initiatives.
• Generate customer profiles through data mining, research, and client engagement activities.
• Identify and apply best practices for utilizing publicly available information.
• Assist in responding to requests for information, sources sought, marketing surveys, and proposals.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create, maintain, and adapt capabilities for marketing materials.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting, sourcing contracts, and conducting stakeholder analysis with federal clients.
• Experience in government services is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure.
• Comprehensive understanding of Fixed and Cost type contracts, contract teaming arrangements, and Non-disclosure Agreements (NDA) is required.
• Capability to assist with proposal preparation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Skilled in using publicly available databases such as FPDS, SAM, and USA Spending.
• Familiarity with SBA regulations and policies, notably the 8(a) program.
• Knowledge of the Justification and Approval (J&A) process and its required elements.
• Understanding of both organizational and personal conflicts of interest.
• A successful background screening process is necessary for Indian Preference consideration.
• A signed Nondisclosure/Noncompete agreement will be required upon hiring.
