Director, New Verticals Partnerships

📋 Description

• Develop and manage the partnerships pipeline for Jerry's new product offerings, starting from initial outreach to the signing of agreements and successful onboarding.

• Independently lead discussions with insurance carriers and partners.

• Assess partner compatibility and comprehend partner requirements.

• Design value propositions and innovative deal structures for intricate partnerships.

• Manage the partnership processes until closure.

• Ensure partner success post-closure, which includes ramp-up, engagement, and fostering long-term relationships.

• Provide partner insights that contribute to vertical strategy and the prioritization of new product initiatives.

• Collaborate across functions with product, engineering, data science, legal, finance, and executive leadership.

• Expand the supply side of Jerry's marketplace and establish partnerships for new business lines.

• Report directly to the Vice President of Partnerships.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategy consulting.

• Proven history of closing complex, multi-stakeholder agreements.

• Experience in building from the ground up, such as launching a new partnership category, penetrating a new market, or developing a business development function without a pre-existing model.

• Background that includes at least two of the following: consulting or structured problem-solving, business development or sales execution, and experience in early-stage startups.

• Capability to engage with senior external stakeholders and navigate large partner organizations independently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to present intricate deal structures in a clear and credible manner to an executive audience.

• Must currently reside in an eligible location: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
