This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of Ethos's AI marketing review tool as the business owner and administrator, encompassing configuration, rule and prompt tuning, testing, and release management.
β’ Establish automation tiers for full AI approval, AI reviews that necessitate human confirmation, and obligatory human review.
β’ Assess and enhance the quality of automated reviews, minimize overlooked issues, and broaden the range of content categories managed by automation.
β’ Set human-in-the-loop thresholds, sampling methods, and ongoing quality assurance practices.
β’ Ensure the auditability of AI-assisted decisions for examiners, auditors, and carriers.
β’ Collaborate with vendors, as well as internal engineering and data teams, on integration, evaluation, and roadmap development.
β’ Design and implement an intake process for marketing review requests, including SLAs, routing, and prioritization.
β’ Uphold review standards, required disclosures, and pre-approved claims and language.
β’ Personally conduct the majority of marketing compliance reviews and make decisions on close calls.
β’ Maintain records and audit trails for submissions, versions, approvals, and approval conditions.
β’ Measure and enhance throughput, cycle time, review quality, and automation rates.
β’ Review consumer-facing, agent-facing, partner, carrier, co-branded, product, and disclosure content.
β’ Interpret changes in insurance advertising and marketing regulations into review criteria, tool rules, and approved language.
β’ Partner with teams in Marketing, Brand, Growth, Product, Legal, and Compliance Risk Management.
β’ Support advertising filings, market conduct examinations, regulatory inquiries, carrier requests, and data calls.
β’ Build and lead the compliance function, which includes hiring, onboarding, developing, and managing a compliance analyst.
β’ Oversee marketing compliance reporting and governance, including KRIs, quality, error rates, and automation performance.
β’ Assist in developing marketing compliance policies and procedures.
β’ Provide general compliance support, research, and guidance across Ethos.
β’ Over 12 years of relevant Compliance experience in the insurance sector, with significant hands-on involvement in marketing and advertising review.
β’ Extensive knowledge of insurance regulatory marketing compliance, including advertising requirements, required disclosures, and advertising filing obligations across various states.
β’ Proven track record of managing a high-volume marketing or advertising review function, along with the associated standards and workflows.
β’ Practical experience implementing AI or automation within a compliance review workflow, covering configuration, measurement, and enhancement.
β’ Capacity to define and justify when automation is suitable versus when human judgment is necessary, and provide evidence of that distinction to auditors, examiners, and carriers.
β’ Strong skills in process design, including intake, SLAs, prioritization, throughput, and cycle time.
β’ Proficient in analyzing data to evaluate review quality and automation performance, with the ability to report findings to senior leadership.
β’ Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Persuasive communication and thought leadership capabilities.
β’ Highly responsive and service-oriented, capable of maintaining strong working relationships with demanding internal clients.
β’ Experience in hiring, developing, and managing an analyst, or a clear readiness to take on this responsibility.
β’ Sound and practical business judgment, with confidence in determining acceptable risks.
β’ Ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
β’ Flexibility to adapt swiftly to ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
β’ Keen attention to detail.
β’ Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.
β’ Base salary ranging from $200,000 to $352,000.
