This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and uphold the enterprise vision for College Board’s staff intranet, myBoard, serving as the primary source of enterprise guidance.
• Take ownership of information architecture, encompassing navigation, metadata, templates, page types, and structural standards.
• Set clear expectations regarding the content that should reside on the intranet versus other communication channels.
• Continuously adapt intranet structures based on the information-seeking behavior of staff.
• Act as the editorial leader for content on the staff intranet.
• Establish and uphold editorial and content standards for enterprise-wide materials.
• Edit, synthesize, restructure, or retire high-impact enterprise content as necessary.
• Ensure that staff-facing content is clear, actionable, and addresses fundamental execution questions.
• Collaborate with communications, Enterprise Rhythm, and stakeholders regarding the enterprise content calendar.
• Implement governance for content ownership, review cycles, and quality standards.
• Clarify canonical information, ownership responsibilities, and maintenance duties.
• Work alongside enterprise content owners to enhance the quality and sustainability of guidance.
• Navigate competing priorities and incomplete information with sound judgment.
• Design information flows across the intranet, collaboration tools, announcements, and shared workspaces.
• Determine when to centralize, curate, summarize, cross-link, or automate content.
• Employ metadata, tagging, and audience targeting to enhance content discovery and minimize maintenance efforts.
• Collaborate with the Technology team on platform configuration, integrations, and performance optimization.
• Utilize automation to support content relevance, governance, and discovery.
• Analyze feedback, search behavior, and usage signals to identify content gaps.
• Continuously iterate on structures and standards as organizational needs, tools, and priorities evolve.
• Report directly to the Senior Director, Digital Workplace within the Office of the CEO.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in intranet leadership, information architecture, content strategy, digital workplace, knowledge systems, or enterprise platforms within complex organizations.
• Proven ability to design and manage enterprise knowledge hubs that are both utilized and trusted by staff.
• Strong editorial judgment accompanied by excellent writing skills.
• Experience in clarifying, synthesizing, and refining complex guidance tailored for staff audiences.
• Background in establishing and enforcing editorial and content standards.
• Comfort in navigating messy, evolving information environments.
• Proficiency in designing information flows across various channels.
• Experience leveraging systems, metadata, audience targeting, and automation to enhance information discovery and content relevance.
• A strong track record of partnering with senior leaders and content owners, influencing without formal authority.
• Excellent collaboration skills, particularly with Technology partners.
• A systems mindset along with a keen attention to detail.
• Capability to shift between strategic objectives and hands-on execution.
• A commitment to the mission of College Board.
• Willingness to travel 2–4 times annually for College Board business.
