Director, Investor Relations – Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement Peptilogics' investor relations strategy, which includes planning calendars, proactive outreach, content development, and tracking engagement.

• Act as the main point of contact for both current and potential investors, analysts, and relevant media representatives.

• Take ownership of the creation and upkeep of investor relations materials, such as investor presentations, fact sheets, financing announcements, press releases, and Q&A documents.

• Oversee public-facing channels, encompassing the corporate website and social media platforms, ensuring that messaging is timely, accurate, compliant, and consistent.

• Coordinate investor and analyst interactions during conferences, non-deal roadshows, and industry events.

• Spearhead message development for essential milestones, clinical results, regulatory updates, financing activities, grant awards, and commercial advancements.

• Monitor and report on investor sentiment, sector trends, competitive landscape, and peer communications to guide executive decisions and positioning.

• Manage relationships with investor relations and public relations agencies to facilitate execution, visibility, and crisis management.

• Prepare executives for investor meetings, speaking engagements, and media interactions with customized briefings and coaching sessions.

• Establish a routine for investor updates, including quarterly reports, post-Board meeting updates, and ad hoc news communications.

• Transform internal insights into narratives suitable for investor communication.

• Collaborate with Clinical, Regulatory, CMC, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and alignment in public-facing documents.

• Assist with internal communications and work with Corporate Operations to ensure consistency in internal and external messaging.

• Contribute to Board materials and corporate reporting related to strategic communications and investor engagement.

• Facilitate presence at scientific conferences, trade shows, and investor events.

• Aid in pre-commercial positioning as programs progress.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of converting complex scientific and financial data into clear and engaging messages.

• Demonstrated success in leading investor relations strategy and managing buy- and sell-side relationships in the biotech or life sciences sectors.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the pre-commercial biotech landscape, capital markets, development milestones, and regulatory communications.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities with tight, high-stakes deadlines.

• Sound independent judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Comfortable serving as a public-facing representative during external communications and events.

• Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• 8–12 years of experience in investor relations, corporate communications, or strategic finance within biotech, pharmaceuticals, orthopedics, or healthcare.

• Proven track record of supporting or leading investor communications at a pre- or early-commercial life sciences company.

• Experience coordinating with Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and Finance departments for compliant and accurate external messaging.

• An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) in life sciences, finance, or communications is strongly preferred.

• Experience in the orthopedic and MedTech markets.

• Background in overseeing corporate websites and social media channels for investor and reputational communications.

• Familiarity with SEC regulations and disclosure practices pertinent to private and public biotech entities.

• Direct experience with PR/IR agencies and cross-channel campaigns.

• A background in financial analysis or capital markets, with the ability to interpret market sentiment and peer performance.

• Previous involvement in crossover rounds, IPO positioning, or strategic partnerships.
