Communications Specialist – Junior/Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create outreach and communication strategies.

• Produce newsletters, articles, graphics, presentations, and communications for stakeholders.

• Assist with social media content as required by program needs.

• Generate materials for presentations and briefings.

• Assist with publication requirements.

• Ensure compliance with Section 508 for relevant communication products.

• Create visual and communication components for meetings.

• Design visual and communication elements for training materials.

• Facilitate stakeholder communications and outreach initiatives.

• Support communications, outreach, publications, presentations, meetings, and training efforts for a federal healthcare, benefits, and service-member support mission.

• This role is dependent on contract award and may assist with potential program initiation.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• All work must be conducted within the United States.

• Candidates must successfully complete and maintain the background investigation and suitability criteria relevant to the position.

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust determination if necessary.

• Junior to mid-level experience in communications, public affairs, outreach, technical communications, marketing, or a related field is required.

• Strong skills in professional writing, editing, and communication are essential.

• Experience in preparing presentations, articles, newsletters, graphics, or other communication products is necessary.

• Ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences is crucial.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, along with related communication tools, is required.

• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility standards is preferred.

• Experience in federal government, DoD, VA, healthcare, or similar program communications is preferred.
