This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery for large, intricate, multi-workstream implementations, which include new market expansions and the launch of MCO and provider contracts, from kickoff to stabilization and handoff to operations.

• Create and maintain project plans, workplans, milestone schedules, resource allocations, dependency maps, and critical path analyses.

• Establish and manage implementation governance frameworks, including project charters, RACI matrices, decision-rights frameworks, working-group schedules, executive status reports, and stage-gate reviews.

• Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies; facilitate escalation and resolution processes.

• Oversee scope, timeline, and budget across multiple concurrent implementations.

• Lead post-launch retrospectives to enhance processes, tools, and playbooks.

• Act as the senior implementation contact for MCO and provider partners, leading presentations, joint meetings, timeline and data-exchange alignment, executive communications, and escalations.

• Support partners through onboarding, workflow integration, and the adoption of Waymark’s care model and technology.

• Cultivate relationships with external partners to facilitate contract expansion and ensure long-term success.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams that include clinical, product, engineering, analytics, quality, compliance, regional market leadership, partnerships, and finance.

• Convert contract requirements into actionable local launch plans alongside Regional VPs and market leaders.

• Arrange and schedule Signal and other data-product deployments with product and analytics teams.

• Promote internal stakeholder alignment through clear communication regarding roadmaps, trade-offs, and deliverables.

• Deliver concise status updates to executive leadership concerning milestones, risks, and decisions.

• Develop standardized implementation playbooks, templates, launch checklists, success metrics, and operational rhythms.

• Define and monitor implementation KPIs while driving continuous improvement.

• Build, guide, and mentor the implementation team, enhancing project-management capabilities across the organization.

• Encourage accountability, collaboration, and ongoing learning.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in healthcare services implementation, program management, or operations.

• Proven history of leading large, complex, multi-stakeholder implementations from planning to launch.

• In-depth knowledge of formal project management methodologies, including workplans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, governance, and status reporting.

• Demonstrated ability to manage health plans, provider groups, and other external partners, including executive sponsors.

• Capability to navigate conflicting priorities, negotiate timelines, and manage escalations effectively.

• Proven success in leading matrixed, cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills suitable for executive and external partner updates.

• Experience in implementing or deploying technology platforms.

• Proficient in utilizing data to inform operational decisions.

• Familiarity with project management tools.

• A strong desire to improve care for Medicaid patients.

• Preferably experienced with Medicaid managed care, MCO contracting, and data exchange.

• Ideally experienced in launching new markets, contracts, or service lines in early-stage, high-growth environments.

• Formal project management certification such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.

• Experience in building implementation functions, playbooks, and teams from the ground up is preferred.

• Successful completion of a background check, including verification of employment history and advanced degrees when applicable.
