This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Assist in advancing the overall Hematology Ambition strategy at AstraZeneca, along with disease education and execution plans.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including commercial, medical, research and development, corporate affairs, and advocacy.
• Identify and prioritize challenges within the market and implement effective solutions.
• Create innovative strategies to address deficiencies in hematologic malignancy care, covering concept development, governance, review processes, budget, and deployment.
• Oversee the management of the Hematology Ambition website targeted at healthcare professionals (HCPs).
• Develop strategic assets and tactics that reinforce AstraZeneca’s reputation in the field of hematologic malignancies.
• Engage in strategic planning to discover opportunities and enhance unbranded educational needs.
• Spearhead initiatives that showcase AstraZeneca’s scientific progress in hematology.
• Manage the presence of the US Hematology Ambition on internal social media platforms.
• Lead external awareness campaigns on platforms such as LinkedIn, Meta, and through paid search.
• Formulate and execute media strategies and non-personal promotion (NPP) programs to engage healthcare professionals.
• Organize customer-facing events at key congresses.
• Act as the liaison for Hematology Ambition among various internal AstraZeneca business units.
• Implement measurement strategies to evaluate and communicate the impact of initiatives.
• Oversee partner agencies, vendor relationships, workflows, and expense budgets.
• Facilitate discussions and provide regular updates on Hematology Ambition to senior leadership.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is required; an MBA and/or other advanced qualifications are advantageous.
• More than 7 years of experience in the US pharmaceutical and/or healthcare sectors.
• Background in marketing, sales, strategic planning, operations, project management, or medical affairs.
• Over 5 years of experience in the Oncology therapeutic area.
• At least 3 years of experience in HCP or Patient Marketing, Corporate Strategy, or Brand Leadership.
• Strong skills in project management, leadership, and business acumen.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, processes, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience in managing agencies, navigating med-legal review processes, and overseeing budgets.
• Capable of strategically developing programs while assessing feasibility, impact, and risks.
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Familiarity with marketing operations, advisory boards, alliances, concept development, and the MLR process.
• Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding pharmaceutical promotions and industry compliance guidelines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of oncology care delivery, including Payers, GPOs, APPs, various practice settings, and organized oncology customers.
