Director, GTN Strategy – Policy Analytics

📋 Description

• Oversee U.S. gross-to-net forecasting for the inline portfolio.

• Collaborate with Finance on accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and external financial reporting.

• Shape U.S. list price strategy within a changing policy landscape.

• Act as the functional lead for U.S. gross-to-net components.

• Lead cross-functional governance with Finance, Market Access, Policy, Brand, and Global teams.

• Provide quantitative assessments on the impact of policies such as IRA, MFN, MFP, and others.

• Create comprehensive U.S. gross-to-net forecasts for inline products utilizing Anaplan and proprietary models.

• Supply gross-to-net inputs and assumptions for accrual management and audit-compliant reporting.

• Design, refine, and implement gross-to-net models at both channel and product levels.

• Manage consolidated portfolio-level gross-to-net outputs.

• Conduct scenario analyses and evaluate risks and opportunities arising from policy, competitive, and access changes.

• Assess the financial implications of current and proposed policies and provide guidance on forecast treatment.

• Align volume, access, and rebate assumptions while monitoring monthly trends, including 340B volatility.

• Anticipate impacts on ASP, Medicaid URA, and 340B Price, and recommend annual price adjustments.

• Maintain gross-to-net drivers based on payer/access and incorporate updated assumptions into forecasts.

• Supervise the Anaplan gross-to-net planning environment, data interfaces from Model N and external partners, and supporting consultants.

• Implement monitoring and diagnostic processes through KPI reviews, variance analysis, and detailed discussions with Government Pricing and Audit teams.

• Present U.S. gross-to-net and pricing insights in senior leadership, Finance, and Pricing Committee meetings.

• Communicate uncertainties, ranges, and key value drivers as the portfolio evolves.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical finance, pricing, gross-to-net, or market access analytics.

• Preferred experience in directly managing gross-to-net or revenue forecasting for U.S. products.

• Profound knowledge of U.S. channel economics and government/commercial program operations, including Medicaid, Medicare Part D/coverage gap, commercial rebates, 340B, chargebacks, and wholesaler agreements.

• Practical experience with financial planning and revenue management systems like Anaplan, Model N, and SAP.

• Ability to work comfortably with large and complex data sets.

• Solid understanding of the U.S. pricing and policy environment, including IRA, inflation penalties, MFP, MFN concepts, and state transparency regulations.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional decision-making involving Finance, Policy, Market Access, Brand, and Global stakeholders within a matrix organization.

• Strong analytical and modeling capabilities, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.

• History of translating intricate analytics into clear recommendations for senior executives.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Pharmacy, or a related field.

• An MBA, MS in Finance, or a similar advanced degree is preferred.
