Director, Government Affairs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the public face of PrizePicks to state legislators, regulators, governors, and attorneys general.

• Establish coalitions and foster relationships with various third-party stakeholders, peers, competitors, casino operators, tribal gaming communities, and others within the gaming ecosystem.

• Spearhead the development and engagement of legislative and regulatory strategies across designated jurisdictions.

• Keep internal company stakeholders updated on progress towards organizational objectives.

• Work alongside communications, legal, product, and marketing teams to effectively convey the PrizePicks narrative and support its user base.

• Oversee external firms and lobbyists to maximize impact and operational efficiency.

• Participate in frequent stakeholder meetings, political organization conferences, and industry networking events.

• Report directly to the VP of Public Affairs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in policy, government, and/or campaign roles.

• Comprehensive understanding of politics, media and communications, the legislative process, and familiarity with technology, consumer apps, and gaming-related issues.

• Capability to simplify complex competitive and policy dynamics into concise, impactful, and politically relevant messaging for both internal and external audiences.

• Proficiency in quickly establishing connections and nurturing both internal and external relationships.

• Talent for devising innovative strategies to achieve successes in rapidly evolving environments across multiple jurisdictions.

• Eligibility to pass essential personnel submissions and background checks as part of gaming licensing requirements.

• Competitive mindset with a strong passion for ensuring consumer access to innovative new options.

• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
