This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +1 more state.
• Develop and oversee global EHS policies, standards, procedures, and programs throughout the organization.
• Suggest and execute modifications in alignment with global legal changes.
• Promote ongoing enhancements in LTIR, TRIR, incidents, and other critical performance indicators.
• Champion the EHS function and foster a robust safety culture.
• Enhance awareness of preventive strategies, risk management, continuous improvement, performance evaluation, and organizational EHS.
• Spearhead initiatives to position EHS as a fundamental competency and integral business practice.
• Offer EHS consultation and insights to bolster the company's EHS initiatives.
• Collaborate with management and personnel on EHS matters impacting company operations.
• Ensure that associates receive appropriate safety, environmental, and regulatory training.
• Lead comprehensive safety communications across the organization.
• Deliver written reports and EHS-related updates to senior leadership.
• Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis, site remediation, and the closure of corrective actions.
• Guarantee workplace adherence to federal, state, and regional regulatory standards.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in safety engineering, industrial safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, business administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety.
• At least 5+ years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing setting.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing a Global EHS program.
• Capability to motivate and influence individuals at all levels to meet safety and environmental goals.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Established history of delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and assembly production.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Teams, and Outlook.
• Ability to navigate and collaborate across various organizations and business functions in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
