Director, Global Equity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +30 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and expand Faire’s global equity programs from start to finish, encompassing plan design, administration, accounting, compliance, and the employee experience across various equity award types and jurisdictions.

• Act as the senior leader for equity operations, collaborating closely with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Legal, and People teams.

• Establish robust, audit-ready procedures that can adapt to the company's growth.

• Lead responsibilities related to public company equity, including support for SEC reporting, insider trading programs, audit preparedness, and internal controls linked to equity.

• Manage the equity lifecycle, which includes grant issuance, vesting, exercises, releases, share pool management, and reconciliations between equity platforms and general ledgers.

• Design, implement, and enhance equity systems and workflows, specifically integrating Shareworks with payroll, HRIS, and financial reporting systems.

• Provide guidance and serve as a point of escalation for intricate equity matters related to employees, executives, and stakeholders.

• Oversee global regulatory, tax, and compliance risks in collaboration with Legal and external advisors.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in stock plan administration, with leadership experience in complex or rapidly growing environments.

• Extensive knowledge of global equity programs, including legal, tax, and payroll considerations across various jurisdictions.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

• Demonstrated ability to scale equity programs through the transition from private to public readiness or during public company operations.

• Advanced analytical and systems capabilities.

• Expertise in Shareworks (or a similar platform) is required.

• Ability to influence cross-departmentally without formal authority, including engagement with senior leadership.

• CEP certification is highly preferred.

• A resourceful mindset and readiness to take on hands-on tasks.
