Director, FP&A – Professional Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for designated business areas.

• Create financial models and assess financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.

• Collaborate with business and operational leaders to enhance financial performance and support strategic decision-making processes.

• Examine project and service economics, focusing on revenue, profitability, utilization, capacity, margins, and resource requirements.

• Assess pricing, project structures, investments, and workforce decisions from a financial viewpoint.

• Offer insights into professional services performance and pinpoint opportunities to boost profitability and resource utilization.

• Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leaders, challenging assumptions and converting complex analyses into clear recommendations.

• Facilitate strategic planning across various geographies and business units.

• Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations that convey financial performance and recommendations.

• Collaborate with global finance and business teams, including offshore and shared-services organizations.

• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting, data quality, and decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or a similar field.

• Experience at the Senior Manager level or proven readiness to assume Director-level responsibilities.

• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning.

• Experience in professional services, consulting, SaaS, technology, HCM, payroll, or other services-based industries.

• Knowledge of project economics, profitability, utilization, capacity, revenue, and/or margin management.

• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into actionable insights.

• Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders and influence business decisions through financial analysis.

• Experience in a multinational or globally distributed organization.

• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling capabilities.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

• Current and future work authorization in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship from Strada.

• Preferred: MBA, CPA, CFA, CMA, PMP, or other relevant certifications.

• Preferred: Experience with SaaS or recurring-revenue business models.

• Preferred: Experience in project accounting, revenue recognition, or professional services financial management.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Workday, Adaptive Planning, Power BI, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems.

• Preferred: Experience in leading or mentoring finance professionals or cross-functional teams.
