This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, and the accuracy of financial statements.
• Develop, document, and continually enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Establish a systematic and repeatable closing process.
• Oversee revenue recognition for fee-for-service, PMPM, and value-based agreements.
• Ensure that financial reporting consistently reconciles from source systems to reports.
• Direct the annual budgeting and forecasting process, reporting significant variances to management.
• Create dashboards and reports to deliver real-time insights into results and discrepancies.
• Conduct financial analysis for capital investment decisions, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and controls, serving as the primary contact for the annual audit.
• Oversee the administration of the relationship with the third-party payroll provider.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal accounting and financial reporting regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.
• Build, mentor, and expand the accounting function in line with increasing headcount and transaction volume.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
• A minimum of eight years of relevant accounting experience is necessary.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition across diverse streams in a multi-payer healthcare setting.
• Proficient in accounting and financial reporting software.
• Hands-on experience with Business Central (Dynamics 365).
• Comfortable creating dashboards and reports using tools such as Looker.
• Analytical and data-driven approach to financial information and reporting.
• Experience in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
• Proven capability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
• Ability to define a developing role and work autonomously.
• Results-oriented with excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
• Commitment to compliance and the Author's verify-first model.
• Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now Payroll is preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry is preferred, ideally including MSO-PC structures, physician-practice revenue reconciliation, value-based payment models, and Medicare Advantage plans.
