Director, Finance – Profitable Growth Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead a newly created Independent Review function.

• Conduct reviews of Independent Cost Estimates to assess financial uncertainties in the bidding process and execution confidence.

• Collaborate with functional leadership to set estimating expectations and develop a professional estimating framework.

• Develop and oversee a Corporate Independent Cost Estimate Review calendar.

• Prepare outputs for Independent Cost Estimates for Segment and Corporate proposal evaluations.

• Provide guidance on functional estimating initiatives and determine estimating factors for bid evaluations.

• Work alongside Program Excellence to facilitate joint Non-Advocate Reviews, Baseline Reviews, and Program Assessment Reviews.

• Cultivate the Independent Review discipline within the finance sector and build as well as expand a review team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.

• Graduate Degree with at least 13 years of relevant experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 19 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.

• At least 12 years of experience in a defense contracting environment, focusing on proposals and financial roles.

• Experience in managing large proposal activities.

• Proven experience in leading independent cost/proposal reviews.

• Proficient in evaluating labor and material estimates, subcontract quotes, special contract clauses, and cash flow models.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Proficiency in modeling and scenario analysis.

• Ability to collaborate across various functions.

• Capacity to meet deadlines and operate under tight timelines.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
