Director, Finance – Profitable Growth Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead a newly created Independent Review function that ensures proposal offerings achieve optimal long-term financial results.

• Conduct Independent Cost Estimate reviews to assess financial uncertainties in the bidding process and execution reliability.

• Collaborate with functional leadership to set estimating expectations and develop a professional estimating framework.

• Create and oversee a Corporate Independent Cost Estimate Review calendar.

• Prepare Independent Cost Estimate outputs to facilitate decision-making during Segment and Corporate proposal evaluations.

• Provide guidance on functional estimating initiatives and establish estimating parameters for bid evaluations.

• Collaborate with Program Excellence to organize joint Non-Advocate Reviews, Baseline Reviews, and Program Assessment Reviews.

• Cultivate the Independent Review discipline within the finance department and build a review team.

• Assess labor and material estimates, subcontractor quotes, special contract clauses, and cash flow models.

• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience.

• Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience.

• Alternatively, a minimum of 19 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• At least 12 years of experience in a defense contracting environment, involving proposals and financial roles.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Proficient in modeling and scenario analysis.

• Able to effectively collaborate across various functions.

• Capable of meeting deadlines and working under tight timelines.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
