This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide financial leadership, oversight, and support to the market and corporate sectors.
• Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, comprehensive, and transparent financial reports.
• Input and review market finance IBNR models while comprehending market cost drivers and trends.
• Understand reimbursement methodologies that affect market products.
• Assist in the monthly closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and analyses.
• Collaborate with market/workstream leaders to identify, implement, and evaluate QAI initiatives.
• Support APM, VBR, ACO, and other delegated arrangement strategies.
• Work with actuarial teams on rate advocacy efforts.
• Facilitate revenue maximization initiatives between risk adjustment, contracting/health partners teams, and providers.
• Engage in pricing strategies for marketplace and other products.
• Review cost reports and regulatory filing requirements; interact with regulatory agencies as necessary.
• Assist with annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes.
• Coordinate, review, and provide feedback on the annual administrative budget.
• Offer insights into risk sensitivity related to current and future business drivers.
• Support independent financial accounting and regulatory audits.
• Conduct ad hoc and trend analyses, including modeling for contracting and enhancement initiatives.
• Oversee departmental staff and manage the expense budget.
• Make staffing decisions as needed.
• Develop, implement, and refine processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Evaluate internal controls and implement changes to ensure compliance with MAR, regulatory, and organizational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
• At least seven (7) years of experience in accounting/finance, including a minimum of three (3) years in a management role, is required.
• Experience in managed care or healthcare is preferred.
• Familiarity with financial analysis concepts, practices, and procedures is essential.
• Understanding of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures is necessary.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Ability to engage with all levels of management and external audit management.
• Capacity to multitask and support several market leaders/business areas concurrently.
• Ability to lead and direct others, including staff development, motivation, and recognition.
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks is important.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, critical listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented approach is required.
• Must reside in Georgia.
• No licensure or certification is required.
