This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Supervise direct sales efforts for F5's products and services targeting end-users across a large designated geographic area.
• Lead a team of Account Managers by offering guidance, executing performance improvement plans, implementing disciplinary measures, and interviewing candidates for vacant positions.
• Direct and oversee a substantial portion of F5’s North American sales operations through channel partnerships.
• Formulate sales strategies and project sales volumes for the region.
• Build and nurture relationships with essential channel partners, enterprise clients, and other industry leaders.
• Track metrics to ensure the team achieves sales and key performance objectives.
• Participate in key customer and channel opportunities, assisting with the sales cycle in alignment with the region’s sales strategy.
• Meet annual revenue targets.
• Establish and manage sales goals/quotas, budgets, and account management for the region.
• Ensure precise and timely sales reporting in accordance with company policies.
• Adhere to F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report any violations of company policies.
• Carry out other related responsibilities as assigned.
• At least 8 years of proven quota-driven sales experience within the technology sector, ideally involving high price-point hardware and software for network infrastructure applications.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, overseeing a remote field sales team.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, or sales).
• Demonstrated expertise in both two-tiered and direct channel resale models.
• Solid understanding of internetworking infrastructure and security technologies, including routers, switches, TCP/IP, IP applications, and firewalls.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technology in a simple manner.
• Strong leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding team members to meet and surpass ambitious quota goals while fostering a cohesive team environment.
