Director, Field Reimbursement Management – HIV Prevention

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Direct a nationwide team of Field Reimbursement Managers responsible for the West region.

• Report directly to the Sr. Director of National Field Reimbursement Management for HIV Prevention.

• Provide guidance to the Field Reimbursement team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure access and reimbursement strategies coincide with business goals.

• Oversee the recruitment, training, mentorship, and professional growth of Field Reimbursement Managers.

• Foster a high-performance, patient-focused, compliant, efficient, empowered, and continuously improving team environment.

• Act as a subject matter expert on access and reimbursement policies and procedures.

• Train and coach the team to support offices and clarify complex reimbursement situations.

• Stay informed on healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and market trends.

• Develop relationships with healthcare providers and office staff regarding patient access and reimbursement challenges.

• Analyze data and metrics to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Provide regular updates to senior management concerning access and reimbursement initiatives.

• Conduct in-person stakeholder meetings throughout the designated regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with twelve years of experience OR Master's Degree with ten years of experience OR PhD with eight years of experience.

• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and reimbursement practices, especially in specialty pharmacy and biotechnology sectors.

• Experience in engaging with and managing large, complex provider accounts.

• Knowledge of pharmacy benefits, the specialty payer landscape, and reimbursement pathways, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.

• Awareness of how local and state policy changes impact reimbursement policies.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions.

• Preferred: BA/BS/RN with 12 years of experience in a field reimbursement role at a major pharmaceutical organization.

• Preferred: MA/MS/PharmD with 10 years of experience in a field reimbursement role at a major pharmaceutical organization.

• Ideally, experience with specialty pharmacies and utilizing a HUB service.

• Ideally, experience in various buying models, including buy & build.
