Director, Field Reimbursement Management – HIV Prevention

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee a nationwide team of Field Reimbursement Managers focused on HIV Prevention.

• Provide guidance to the Field Reimbursement team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure reimbursement and access strategies align with business goals.

• Lead the recruitment, training, mentoring, and professional growth of Field Reimbursement Managers.

• Foster an environment that is high-performing, patient-centric, compliant, efficient, empowered, and continuously improving.

• Act as a subject matter expert on reimbursement and access policies and practices.

• Simplify complex scenarios for training and coaching the team.

• Stay informed about healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and industry trends.

• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and office personnel.

• Analyze data and metrics to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Provide senior management with regular updates on access and reimbursement strategies.

• Promote inclusion, develop talent, and empower teams.

• Travel to designated regions for in-person stakeholder meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with twelve years of experience OR a Master’s Degree with ten years of experience OR a PhD with eight years of experience.

• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.

• Strong capability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members.

• Extensive knowledge of healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and reimbursement practices, especially in the specialty pharmacy and biotechnology fields.

• Experience in engaging and managing large, complex provider accounts.

• Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, the specialty payer landscape, and reimbursement pathways (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).

• Understanding of the impact of local and state policy changes on reimbursement policies.

• Preferred experience with specialty pharmacies and the use of HUB services.

• Preferred experience in various buying models, including buy & build.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time across designated regions.

• BA/BS/RN with 12 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization’s field reimbursement team is preferred.

• MA/MS/PharmD with 10 years of experience in a major pharmaceutical organization’s field reimbursement team is preferred.
