This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and lead Neumo's national event strategy along with the annual operating model.
• Distribute a substantial national field-marketing budget across various products, territories, and business units.
• Collaborate with Sales and business-unit leaders to co-manage event-driven pipeline and retention outcomes.
• Initiate and expand Neumo's flagship annual customer conference scheduled for Q2 2027.
• Manage the conference strategy, experience design, registration, partner/sponsor program, supplier contracts, and P&L.
• Organize and oversee logistics for sales kickoff, President's Club, and other key go-to-market meetings.
• Build, lead, and develop the events team.
• Safeguard and enhance the Neumo brand at all events.
• Supervise venue, booth, shipping, staffing, and collateral logistics.
• Manage the event-management system and enhance processes through software adoption and AI-driven tools.
• Report on event performance and ROI categorized by goals, event types, products, territories, and business units.
• Create and manage a multi-million-dollar budget, including forecasting and contract negotiations.
• Develop a high-conversion lead-to-opportunity flow from events.
• Act as the executive escalation point for vendors and venues.
• Collaborate with Sales Development and Inside Sales to transform booth meetings into discovery and demo calls.
• Ensure alignment of event programs with business, territory, and retention strategies.
• Work with HRBP on hiring, headcount, compensation, career pathing, and workforce planning.
• Define team structure, reporting lines, role scope, and career trajectories.
• Establish growth plans, coach team members, provide feedback, and create opportunities for advancement.
• Lead performance management initiatives and foster a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Over 10 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or corporate/global event management.
• Proven track record of managing a portfolio of 100+ events per year.
• At least 5 years of experience in a people-management role.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
• Background in leading agencies, DMCs, production partners, and vendors.
• Proven experience in fast-paced, multi-workstream environments.
• Experience managing a significant budget, including forecasting, procurement, contract negotiation, and ROI analysis.
• Expertise in establishing or scaling a flagship customer conference, sales kickoff, or similarly large-scale/executive event.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, business-unit leaders, and Customer Success teams.
• Ability to design executive, VIP, or incentive experiences.
• Experience in public sector, govtech, SaaS, or regulated industries is a significant advantage.
• Capability to set a national event strategy and develop an operating model.
• Proficiency in hiring, developing, and leading event professionals.
• Experience in budget and vendor management, including handling multi-million-dollar budgets and national/international vendor contracts.
• Strong reporting and analytics skills to demonstrate event value.
• Project management experience with tools such as Monday.com.
• Executive presence when engaging with senior leadership and external government stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret cost per lead, cost per opportunity, and pipeline impact.
• Proven experience in crafting brand-enhancing attendee experiences.
