This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of and lead Neumo's national event strategy as well as the annual operational framework.
• Distribute a substantial national field-marketing budget across various products, regions, and business units.
• Collaborate with Sales and business-unit leaders to jointly manage event-driven pipeline and retention results.
• Initiate and expand Neumo's premier annual customer conference scheduled for Q2 2027.
• Manage the conference strategy, experience design, registration, partner/sponsor program, supplier agreements, and P&L.
• Organize and coordinate logistics for sales kickoff, President’s Club, and other critical go-to-market meetings.
• Build, lead, and develop the events team.
• Safeguard and enhance Neumo's brand presence across events.
• Oversee logistics related to venue, booth, shipping, staffing, and promotional materials.
• Manage the event-management system and refine processes through software utilization and AI-driven tools.
• Report on event outcomes and link activities to pipeline and closed-won revenue.
• Develop and manage a multi-million-dollar budget, forecast expenditures, negotiate contracts, and demonstrate ROI.
• Create a high-conversion lead-to-opportunity pipeline from events.
• Act as the executive escalation point for vendors and venues.
• Collaborate with Sales Development and Inside Sales to turn booth meetings into discovery and demo calls.
• Ensure event programming aligns with business, territory, and retention strategies.
• Partner with HRBP on recruitment, headcount planning, compensation initiatives, career development, and workforce strategy.
• Define team structure, reporting hierarchies, role responsibilities, and career progression paths.
• Establish growth plans, mentor employees, provide constructive feedback, and create challenging opportunities.
• Lead performance management efforts and address any performance deficiencies.
• Foster a culture of accountability and ownership.
• Over 10 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or corporate/global event management.
• Proven track record of managing a portfolio of over 100 events annually.
• At least 5 years of experience in people management.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
• Background in leading agencies, DMCs, production partners, and vendors.
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Full accountability for managing a large budget, including forecasting, procurement, contract negotiation, and demonstrating ROI.
• Proven experience in establishing or scaling a flagship customer conference, sales kickoff, or similarly large-scale/executive event.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, business-unit leaders, and Customer Success.
• Experience in designing executive, VIP, or incentive events.
• Experience in the public sector, govtech, SaaS, or regulated industries is a significant advantage.
• Capability to establish a national event strategy and develop the operational model.
• Ability to recruit, nurture, and lead event professionals.
• Expertise in budget and vendor management, including multi-million-dollar budgets and national/international vendor agreements.
• Proficient in reporting and analyzing event performance and ROI.
• Project management experience using tools like Monday.com.
• Possess executive presence with senior leaders and government stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical skills to interpret event data into cost-per-lead, cost-per-opportunity, and pipeline insights.
• Experience in designing attendee experiences.
