Director – Enterprise Data, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement IFSA's strategy for enterprise data, analytics, and AI.

• Expand the organization's data lake from pilot phase to full enterprise integration and outline future capabilities.

• Direct the design, execution, and advancement of a centralized data lake that consolidates CRM, marketing automation, web, event, financial, and operational data.

• Establish standards for enterprise master data management, identity resolution, and system-of-record.

• Spearhead CRM transformation projects, including the transition from Salesforce and HubSpot.

• Create and deploy AI-driven workflows for data cleansing, validation, transformation, migration, monitoring, and automation of business processes.

• Set up standards for AI governance, security, and auditability.

• Develop and uphold frameworks for enterprise data governance, data quality controls, metadata management, privacy compliance, and stewardship practices.

• Implement automated processes for reconciliation, validation, testing, and monitoring.

• Act as the senior technical authority for data architecture and engineering.

• Supervise data models, integrations, SQL development, performance optimization, and deployment standards.

• Manage external development partners, consultants, and contractors through Agile delivery methodologies.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and advisory board members.

• Promote organization-wide adoption of analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities via change management, training, and data literacy initiatives.

• Define and uphold practices for security, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

• Support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, lead scoring, and AI-driven insights.

• Report on project progress, technical strategy, risks, adoption metrics, and business impact to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, analytics, CRM systems, or management of data platforms.

• Proven experience in leading enterprise data transformation, migration, or modernization projects.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and contemporary data platforms.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, CRM integrations, and data migration initiatives.

• Knowledgeable in data governance, master data management, privacy regulations, and data quality frameworks.

• Experience in managing technical vendors, consultants, or external development teams.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.

• Experience in managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally.

• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English at CEFR B2 or higher.

• Legal authorization to work in Mexico.

• Residence in the Mexico City metropolitan area.

• Availability to occasionally work outside standard local business hours.

• Preferred: experience with dbt, cloud data platforms, modern analytics ecosystems, AI, machine learning, agentic AI, intelligent automation, GDPR, CPRA, executive reporting, organizational change management, user adoption, enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, customer data platforms, CRM modernization, or large-scale data migration projects.
