This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Act as the statewide leader for Washington Policy Center, ensuring that WPC's ideas are relevant, accessible, and appealing to individuals in the early stages of their careers.
• Evaluate and enhance WPC's Young Professionals Program targeting individuals aged 19 to 39.
• Transform WPC research and proposals into captivating, tailored content and experiences.
• Report directly to the President & CEO.
• Increase statewide influence through digital engagement, strategic partnerships, educational initiatives, and select in-person events.
• Collaborate with teams in Communications, Development, Marketing, Operations, and Research.
• Identify and engage different audience segments based on their life and career stages, interests, concerns, media habits, and geographic locations.
• Establish strategic relationships with employers, business and trade associations, educational institutions, civic organizations, creators, entrepreneurs, and other credible figures.
• Assess the value and future direction of the Young Professionals Program.
• Expand the pool of participants, advocates, volunteers, and donors.
• Create video content, podcasts, webinars, newsletters, social media materials, virtual learning experiences, and other engaging content.
• Collaborate with policy and Marketing & Communications teams to simplify complex research and free-market concepts for broader understanding.
• Experiment with various formats, platforms, and distribution methods leveraging audience data.
• Represent WPC as a visible ambassador through public speaking, media appearances, and on-camera educational initiatives.
• Develop educational programs that illustrate free-market principles.
• Prepare emerging leaders for roles in business, civic leadership, and public service.
• Promote respectful dialogue and constructive civic participation.
• Organize and conduct events that encourage understanding, networking, and community building.
• Oversee assigned budgets, CRM activities, projects, personnel, and related responsibilities.
• Monitor reach, engagement, audience growth, and conversion metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Relevant background in digital communications, content development, social media strategy, audience engagement and analytics, partnership development, or similar fields.
• Familiarity with modern content-production tools and emerging digital and AI technologies.
• Strong editorial instincts coupled with intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to comprehend complex policy issues and convey them as accurate, accessible, and engaging content.
• Outstanding written, verbal, interpersonal, and public speaking abilities.
• Strong presence on camera.
• Excellent strategic, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM or information management software.
• Willingness to travel throughout Washington, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
