Director, Email & Lifecycle Marketing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and implement a high-volume program consisting of over 40 campaigns each week, along with automated lifecycle journeys.

• Develop the global newsletter strategy and roadmap across 22 different markets.

• Enhance sponsored placements and commissionable offers to boost partner performance and monetization, while ensuring an excellent member experience.

• Provide guidance to Ad Sales and Merchant teams regarding inventory, placement, and best practices for campaigns.

• Present program and placement performance metrics to partners and leadership utilizing reliable data.

• Create detailed campaign and inventory calendars on a market-by-market basis.

• Manage campaigns from the planning stage through to sending and post-send analysis.

• Build, conduct quality assurance, schedule, and deploy newsletters and email campaigns within the Email Service Provider (ESP).

• Oversee dynamic catalog-driven offer placements and manage per-segment/per-client targeting and suppression.

• Design mobile-first templates and conduct ongoing A/B testing across various offers, segments, timings, and creative elements.

• Manage inbox placement, sender reputation, and deliverability across multiple domains and markets.

• Oversee audience segmentation and personalization based on market, client, and member behavior.

• Create and manage activation, welcome, re-engagement, and win-back journeys.

• Lead product marketing and go-to-market email sends for BenefitHub products and verticals.

• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for performance, engagement, deliverability, and lifecycle.

• Provide performance updates to marketing leadership, executives, and the wider company.

• Ensure that advertiser- and partner-facing metrics are both accurate and take invalid traffic into account.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of email marketers and specialists.

• Streamline intake, quality assurance, approvals, and reporting processes.

• Manage vendors for ESP, Customer Data Platform (CDP), and deliverability tools while supporting ESP strategy or migration assessments.

• Ensure adherence to CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, and manage consent, subscription, and preference protocols.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 9 years of direct experience in email, CRM, or lifecycle marketing within a high-volume program.

• Proven experience in monetizing a newsletter or email audience through sponsored placements and/or commissionable/affiliate revenue.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of email deliverability, compliance, and reputation management.

• Familiarity with IP/domain warmup, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, list hygiene, and relationships with mailbox providers.

• Proficient in using a major enterprise ESP and CDP/marketing-automation stack; current tools include Iterable and Lytics.

• Experience with segmentation, dynamic content, automation, lifecycle journeys, behavioral targeting, and reporting.

• Demonstrated success in managing and developing a high-performing team.

• Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, automation workflows, triggered campaigns, and A/B testing methodologies.

• Advanced knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and performance measurement.

• Experience in developing KPIs and dashboards, and converting performance data into actionable insights for partners and executives.

• Ability to discern genuine engagement from invalid traffic.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred: experience in ecommerce, marketplace, perks/benefits, affiliate marketing, deals, or media/ad-monetization companies.

• Preferred: familiarity with the HR, benefits, and employee-engagement landscapes.

• Preferred: experience with multi-tenant programs, product marketing/go-to-market emails, global multi-market initiatives, and evaluating or migrating ESPs.
