This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Take charge of Postscript's comprehensive email deliverability strategy, which encompasses IP pool management, domain strategy, and the choice between shared and dedicated sending models.
• Develop and oversee IP and domain warming initiatives.
• Implement and uphold authentication standards for SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI, ensuring DMARC alignment.
• Track sender reputation, inbox placement, and blocklist activity, leading the remediation efforts as needed.
• Monitor bulk-sender requirements, spam-rate thresholds, and one-click unsubscribe mandates for Gmail, Yahoo, and Microsoft.
• Act as the senior deliverability authority for customer brands by auditing their programs, identifying inbox-placement challenges, and formulating remediation strategies.
• Direct deliverability onboarding processes for brands transitioning their email operations to Postscript.
• Simplify intricate deliverability concepts into actionable advice for marketers.
• Manage customer escalations while safeguarding and enhancing inbox placement and sending reputation.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on deliverability tools, monitoring systems, infrastructure, and roadmap needs.
• Create playbooks, processes, and standards that enhance deliverability across thousands of senders.
• Set up feedback mechanisms, Postmaster Tools, and reporting systems for visibility into deliverability health.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of deliverability specialists as the function evolves.
• Maintain expertise in the deliverability landscape and represent Postscript within the broader community.
• Cultivate relationships with mailbox providers and industry partners.
• Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and mailbox-provider policies in sending practices and customer programs.
• Utilize AI tools and internal systems to enhance monitoring, diagnostics, and customer support.
• A minimum of 8 years of focused email deliverability experience, preferably at an ESP, CDP, or a high-volume sending platform.
• Strong technical expertise in SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI, IP and domain warming, sender reputation, and feedback loops.
• Proven experience managing deliverability for bulk or high-volume senders.
• Background in diagnosing and resolving blocklisting and inbox-placement issues.
• Proficiency with Google Postmaster Tools and Yahoo Sender Hub.
• Knowledge of bulk-sender requirements for Gmail, Yahoo, and Microsoft for 2024 and beyond.
• Established relationships with mailbox providers and/or active engagement in M3AAWG, emailgeeks, or similar communities are strongly preferred.
• Ability to convert technical details into strategic insights for non-technical marketers.
• A player-coach mentality, combining hands-on execution with team and playbook development.
• Solid understanding of e-commerce/DTC brands and email revenue generation; experience in e-commerce is highly desirable.
• Comfort in building operations from the ground up in a dynamic, early-stage environment.
