This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
β’ Create and implement both short-term and long-term strategies to assist the STACK Development team in integrating data center projects.
β’ Oversee the load-interconnection process and act as the main point of contact with the utility for data center initiatives.
β’ Build, nurture, and manage relationships with utility providers.
β’ Record utility load interconnection processes, covering financial obligations, cost responsibilities, timeline, and power commitments.
β’ Assist in the evaluation of utility contracts related to various projects.
β’ Predict and oversee utility project budgets.
β’ Aid in leasing operations.
β’ Collaborate with the development team to formulate business cases for projects.
β’ Assess and validate potential data center locations for their power delivery timelines.
β’ Formulate strategies alongside the Vice President of Transmission Strategy to enhance internal processes.
β’ Grasp utility and ISO/RTO planning methodologies, modeling assumptions, cost recovery, cost distribution, and load interconnection procedures.
β’ Assist in managing utility and RTO/ISO relationships for site due diligence, interconnection requests, studies, and alternative transmission solutions.
β’ Partner with the STACK Energy and STACK Policy teams on data center integration methodologies and reforms.
β’ Create presentations, monitor market activities, and deliver weekly and biweekly reports.
β’ Work together with preconstruction, supply chain, design and engineering, sales, legal, and tax departments.
β’ Help prepare business cases and recommendations for executive approval.
β’ Perform other assigned tasks.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in the energy sector (with a utility, consulting firm, renewable energy company, etc.).
β’ Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
β’ Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, creative thinking, and communication capabilities.
β’ Comfortable with developing processes and executing strategies and procedures that benefit an organization.
β’ Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal to no supervision.
β’ Capable of managing multiple projects and collaborating with internal personnel, external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
β’ Must possess eligibility to work in the United States.
