Director, DFIR

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Deliver tactical and strategic leadership for CYPFER's DFIR service line.

• Ensure excellence in delivery across extensive and multi-faceted engagements.

• Assist in the development of strategic accounts and provide subject matter expertise across technical, operational, and managerial spheres.

• Supervise delivery governance for incident response and recovery efforts.

• Guarantee quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices throughout engagements.

• Direct and coordinate Senior Managers and Managers to fulfill client expectations and meet delivery standards.

• Lead complex delivery scoping, planning, and execution.

• Make certain that methods, standards, and service pillars are uniformly applied across the DFIR service line.

• Support escalation management and executive communication during high-severity incidents.

• Offer subject matter expertise during client meetings, proposals, and strategic conversations.

• Influence client decisions by leveraging industry trends, emerging risks, and CYPFER service capabilities.

• Collaborate with account management teams to enhance client relationships and align with strategic goals.

• Participate in on-call rotation for critical escalations.

• Motivate and guide team members in alignment with the organizational vision and strategy.

• Mentor Senior Managers, Managers, Senior Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts.

• Aid in succession planning and the development of high-potential talent.

• Promote collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.

• Contribute to the evolution of methodology, tooling strategy, and delivery frameworks.

• Provide insights on market trends and the changing needs of clients.

• Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

• Offer strategic input for proposals, RFPs, and high-value client presentations.

• Work with BD teams on service positioning, competitive differentiation, and shaping opportunities.

• Contribute to strategies for account growth, pipeline development, cross-functional projects, and organizational advancement.

• Represent CYPFER at conferences, webinars, and thought leadership forums.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in DFIR, incident response, or a relevant cybersecurity field.

• Demonstrated advancement into senior leadership positions.

• Established delivery governance capabilities managing large or multi-stream engagements across a portfolio of Senior Managers and Managers.

• Profound DFIR knowledge sufficient to guide Senior Managers, validate methodologies, and provide subject matter expertise with clients.

• Advanced skills in managing client relationships at senior and executive levels.

• Strong leadership abilities with a proven history of developing Managers, Senior Consultants, and technical specialists.

• Robust understanding of performance, scope, quality, and escalation oversight across multiple concurrent portfolios.

• Capability to blend strategic thinking with operational control and accountability for delivery results.

• Proficient in communicating complex technical information to executive and board-level audiences.

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated expertise.

• Industry certifications such as GCFA, GCFR, GCIH, CCFR, CCHF, AWS Certified, or similar are highly regarded.
