This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, grow, and enhance a small team of developers.
• Collaborate with the CTO to establish the strategic direction for frontend-focused architecture, development, and team culture.
• Foster a culture centered on security, incident analysis, and continuous learning.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement opportunities related to availability, performance, efficiency, resiliency, organizational change, and incident response.
• Spearhead the development and execution of a frontend roadmap that delivers intuitive, efficient, accessible, and dependable customer experiences.
• Partner with Product teams to convert customer needs and product requirements into scalable frontend solutions.
• Work alongside Development leaders and Product Managers to oversee execution and prioritization of frontend initiatives.
• Mitigate frontend technical debt and enhance the scalability, maintainability, and consistency of frontend architecture.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to developers and peers on best practices for reliability.
• Report to and collaborate directly with the Chief Technology Officer.
• Possess technical knowledge and depth to mentor others and establish credibility with the team.
• Experience engaging with customers, senior executives, and business leaders.
• Proven track record in establishing and measuring OKRs or team objectives.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to engage in constructive conflict.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to lead multiple, often competing priorities, including making and communicating decisions.
• Ability to evaluate business perspectives and trade-offs for complex technical development challenges.
• Over 10 years of experience in software development or hands-on site reliability engineering of fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Experience managing SaaS software systems in a production setting.
• Familiarity with AWS or other major cloud service providers.
• Experience in developing platforms and services, including microservices and APIs.
• Proficient in architecting, designing, and building frontend components and applications that connect to new or existing services.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of JSON, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, WinForms, and Web Services/Web API.
• Experience with UI testing frameworks such as Playwright, or testing tools like NUnit or MS Test.
• Interest or experience in working with AI-driven environments and tools.
• Extensive hands-on development experience with Angular, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
• Industry experience in interior design is a plus.
• A solid foundation in object-oriented programming and familiarity with formal processes/methodologies is ideally desired.
• Experience in large-scale cloud-based development using SOA or microservices is ideally desired.
• Familiarity with .NET Core/5+ is ideally desired.
• Experience in mobile or mobile web development is ideally desired.
• Ability to work in the Central or Mountain time zone is ideally desired.
