Director, Data Management & Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the enterprise data strategy, governance, business intelligence, analytics, and data management capabilities of the Company.

• Ensure that enterprise data is reliable, accessible, secure, actionable, and in alignment with strategic business goals.

• Collaborate with executive, operational, clinical, technology, business, AI, and external stakeholders to provide scalable data solutions and insights.

• Lead teams responsible for data governance, business intelligence, analytics engineering, data services, and data product management.

• Complete initiatives related to Snowflake optimization, certified data, and semantic layers.

• Provide actionable insights and feedback on key performance indicators to business and leadership.

• Establish data governance practices, performance metrics, quality standards, committees, roles, processes, and policies.

• Define strategies for data cataloging, data dictionaries, data lineage, and data and metric definitions.

• Oversee the design, measurement, and monitoring of company KPIs and key metrics.

• Influence enterprise priorities to ensure the successful delivery of high-value data and analytics initiatives.

• Advocate for enterprise data literacy and promote the effective use of data, analytics, and performance insights.

• Build, lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams and leaders.

• Provide performance management, coaching, feedback, succession planning, and career development support.

• Establish standards for data governance, quality, lineage, and metadata that support AI and advanced analytics.

• Create a trusted, scalable, and discoverable data ecosystem that enables self-service analytics, machine learning, and AI applications.

• Collaborate with business, technology, and AI leaders to operationalize data products for automation, predictive analytics, and agentic AI.

• Ensure compliance of data assets with security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI principles.

• Develop a multi-year data strategy and roadmap focused on AI and emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of experience in leading data management, governance, and business intelligence functions.

• More than 3 years of experience working with healthcare industry data.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and certified/semantic data layers.

• Over 7 years of leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing managers.

• Experience in designing and building healthcare data warehouses, specifically with Snowflake.

• Proven track record in establishing data governance frameworks, data catalogs, quality standards, scorecards, access controls, and data-sharing policies.

• Experience in delivering enhancements to enterprise BI and data platforms, including requirements gathering, technology partnerships, implementation, and change management.

• Ability to present data strategy, governance, and business performance insights to executive audiences.

• Familiarity with analytics and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, or similar.

• Advanced SQL skills along with extensive experience in cloud data warehouse technologies; Snowflake is required.

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure basics, including Azure VMs, Azure SQL, IaaS, and PaaS.

• Proven capability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams and leaders.

• Experience managing both managers and individual contributors.

• Ability to prioritize, align teams with business objectives, and drive accountability.

• Strong change leadership abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience with the Epic EMR data model (Clarity).

• Knowledge of healthcare business processes within physician practices and associated application software in an integrated delivery system.

• Willingness to travel between Company locations and out-of-town destinations as necessary, up to 15%.

• Ability to perform duties that involve sitting, standing, walking, and potentially lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 15 lbs.

• May require the use of safety equipment for infection prevention.
