This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic analytics partner to Commercial leadership by transforming business inquiries into analytical methodologies, insights, and actionable recommendations.
• Analyze commercial data to identify performance trends, opportunities, risks, and emerging business inquiries.
• Combine various data sources to gain insights into key business drivers.
• Oversee patient-level claims analytics that encompass patient populations, new patient initiations, treatment adoption, utilization, persistence, treatment patterns, and patient journeys.
• Create and validate methods for identifying patients and initiating treatment, taking into consideration claims coverage, lag time, coding, longitudinal tracking, and data constraints.
• Merge claims data with sales, specialty distribution/pharmacy, CRM, HCP/account, market access, and other datasets to form a holistic view of patient and commercial performance.
• Spearhead the development and refinement of launch KPIs, performance metrics, and diagnostic measures.
• Provide leadership for commercial data strategy, governance, stewardship, data definitions, and business rules.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors regarding data sourcing, integration, quality, and proper usage.
• Establish reporting and visualization needs and guide the development of dashboards and reports.
• Utilize Tableau or similar BI platforms to analyze reporting outputs, pinpoint trends and anomalies, and aid business decisions.
• Direct advanced analytics initiatives, including segmentation, targeting, patient journeys, adoption, persistence, triggers, promotional effectiveness, and ROI analyses.
• Offer analytical leadership and supervision to external partners.
• Create executive-level narratives and presentations that distill complex analyses into business implications and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Insights & Analytics, Finance, IT/Data Management, and other cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech commercial analytics, data strategy, reporting, insights, or consulting; experience in oncology is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. pharmaceutical commercial data, including longitudinal patient claims, specialty distribution/pharmacy, sales, CRM, HCP/account, payer/access, EMR/lab, and other pertinent datasets.
• Proven experience in using patient-level claims data to discern patient populations, new patient initiations, treatment patterns, adoption, persistence, and patient journeys.
• Strong analytical curiosity and critical thinking skills; capacity to recognize patterns and anomalies, formulate hypotheses, link findings across data sources, and assess business implications.
• Ability to go beyond descriptive reporting to identify business drivers and convert analytical findings into insights and recommendations for commercial leadership.
• Proficient in Tableau or similar BI platforms.
• Familiarity with analytical tools and data-query concepts.
• Strong commercial acumen and capability to work consultatively across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Insights & Analytics, and other functions within a highly matrixed environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the skill to synthesize complex analyses and convey clear conclusions to senior leadership.
• Capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities, influence without direct authority, and excel in a fast-paced, evolving commercial landscape.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar programming languages is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Experience in dashboard development is advantageous but not the primary focus.
