Director, Data Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement the data acquisition strategy, priorities, operational model, and measurable objectives in alignment with the leads of the Life Insurance and Healthcare sectors.

• Oversee a portfolio of current third-party partnerships, including managing contracts, relationships, and business opportunities.

• Identify and rank new data acquisition and partnership prospects.

• Lead supplier relationships, navigate complex negotiations, and make contract decisions while considering value, risk, resilience, and long-term adaptability.

• Manage the entire supplier and data lifecycle, encompassing due diligence, evaluation, onboarding, governance, performance management, renewals, and issue resolution.

• Collaborate across product teams, verticals, legal, compliance, finance, technology, and senior leadership.

• Create business cases, recommendations, and executive communications based on market insights, data, and objective analysis.

• Anticipate upcoming risks and opportunities, adjusting priorities and continuously enhancing processes.

• Provide strategic guidance for cross-functional teams while ensuring accountability for sustainable business and operational outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or risk management is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.

• Established connections and a robust professional network within the healthcare data sector.

• Experience in supporting data-driven products and solutions in the healthcare or life insurance industries is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of HIPAA and FCRA regulatory requirements.

• Experience in business development.

• Proven track record in complex contract negotiations.

• Demonstrated success in managing external data and vendor relationships.

• Proven ability to work effectively with various functional areas.

• Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.

• Strong research, financial analysis, and business influence capabilities.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills that facilitate clear interactions at all organizational levels.

• Executive presence and professional presentation abilities.

• Familiarity with technology and database applications.
