This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +6 more countries.
• Oversee people managers and individual contributors within the Customer Application Specialist, EMEA Academy, and Technical Excellence teams.
• Ensure the optimal customer and employee experience while achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Enhance coverage optimization and distribute workloads evenly among the team.
• Engage in communication with various management levels, business operations, and intricate customer environments.
• Facilitate effective business development throughout both pre- and post-sales phases by leveraging technical expertise.
• Strategically plan, develop, and utilize human resources to support the EMEA field organization, training facilities, Technical Excellence team, and IDO partner support.
• Foster internal partnerships and external relationships to comprehend customer needs, recommend solutions, and influence future product design.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, advancements, and competitive landscape.
• Supervise employees delivering technical expertise to the field organization.
• Create, maintain, and utilize reporting tools to assess and optimize Application Engineer utilization.
• Collaborate with sales managers and business partners to showcase the value of OneAgilent.
• Mentor employees and establish impactful development plans.
• Cultivate team competencies to meet both current and future market requirements.
• Allocate resources to execute tactical business strategies and pre-sales Customer Application Specialist initiatives.
• Formulate and implement solutions to departmental challenges and adapt the support organization to align with market needs.
• Prioritize Customer Experience in accordance with the company's brand promise.
• Report directly to the Associate Vice President EMEA HDx.
• Travel 35% of the time.
• Master's Degree or University Degree or equivalent – a PhD or MBA is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a people manager.
• Strong Business Management Skills.
• Proficiency in negotiations with customers and employees at all senior levels, including managing client discussions, resolving internal and external conflicts, and navigating challenging conversations.
• Comprehensive understanding and experience in the Life Sciences/Clinical Diagnostics market segment.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Willingness and ability to travel 35% of the time.
• Option to work remotely.
