This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with ACC leadership and business line executives to pinpoint strategic opportunities that align with emerging therapeutic areas, scientific priorities, and industry demands.
• Spearhead innovative partnership initiatives that utilize ACC’s clinical expertise, scientific credibility, educational strengths, quality improvement programs, registry and data assets, and convening influence.
• Act as the primary executive relationship manager for strategic pharmaceutical and life sciences collaborators.
• Cultivate and oversee executive relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, and healthcare organizations.
• Create and manage a strategic corporate partnership portfolio aimed at fostering long-term growth, partner retention, and new business opportunities.
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of ACC’s capabilities in education, innovation, science and quality, clinical policy, publications, NCDR, data analytics, market intelligence, patient education, and global health.
• Lead the formulation of complex partnership proposals, business cases, budgets, revenue forecasts, contracts, and multi-year collaboration strategies.
• Identify organization-wide partnership opportunities that address partner priorities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with various ACC business units to develop integrated partnership solutions.
• Deliver presentations to executives and facilitate high-level discussions with C-suite leaders and cross-functional industry teams.
• Clearly convey ACC’s value as a cardiovascular professional society and distinguish its capabilities.
• Ensure that partnerships adhere to ACC policies and industry regulations, including ACCME, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA guidelines, and other pertinent compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare consulting, medical societies, or a related field in healthcare business development.
• A background in medical/clinical, science, or health sciences is preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and managing strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical commercialization, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, HEOR, and healthcare delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate executive relationships and influence senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Proven success in leading complex, enterprise-level business development initiatives from concept to execution.
• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, proposal development, presentation, and executive communication capabilities.
• Experience in highly matrixed organizations, consistently meeting or surpassing revenue and partnership goals.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%, including participation in major cardiovascular and life sciences meetings and events at ACC Heart House.
• Familiarity with ACCME, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA guidelines, and other relevant compliance requirements.
