This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the creation and implementation of cohesive global communication strategies that support MariTide across designated obesity-related indications.
• Convert the comprehensive MariTide portfolio strategy into communication plans tailored for specific indications and their execution.
• Manage communications regarding significant clinical data and regulatory achievements.
• Ensure that communications are integrated into cross-functional launch planning processes.
• Develop and refine indication-specific narratives and key messages related to MariTide.
• Formulate and execute communication plans for important data milestones, updates on product development, and participation in medical congresses.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, regulatory, commercial, and Corporate Affairs teams to support the development of MariTide and the MARITIME clinical program.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee consistent messaging across various channels and engagements.
• Provide guidance to OaR Corporate Affairs colleagues to ensure alignment with MariTide and OAR narratives.
• Play a role in the internal communications strategy that informs and engages Amgen employees about advancements in MariTide.
• Empower regional and affiliate communications teams to execute global communication strategies effectively.
• Doctorate degree with 4 years of experience in communications or public relations, OR a Master’s degree with 7 years of experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree alongside 9 years of experience in communications or public relations.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing integrated global communications strategies for investigational products, covering clinical data, regulatory communications, and product launches.
• Experience in supporting product launches within a competitive market landscape.
• Experience collaborating with global affiliates to customize communications strategies for local markets while ensuring strategic consistency.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and work collaboratively across a complex matrix organization, including engagement with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to distill complex business and scientific information into clear and compelling communications.
• Experience in media relations, issues management, digital and social media, and internal communications.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Must reside in the United States.
