This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with some of the largest health systems in the region.
• Formulate and implement strategic growth initiatives within 4-6 designated health systems.
• Act as the strategic leader for assigned health systems, coordinating internal teams around customer priorities and enterprise opportunities.
• Collaborate with healthcare leaders to grasp organizational priorities and align Cardinal Health solutions to meet their objectives.
• Identify and promote strategic opportunities across medical products, distribution, and value-added services.
• Lead intricate sales engagements, contract negotiations, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans that enhance customer partnerships and foster shared success.
• Conduct executive business reviews and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary contact for problem resolution, issues, and opportunities.
• Direct cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Clinical, Operations, Contracting, Marketing, Product Management, and other business partners.
• Propel execution through collaboration and influence in a matrixed environment without direct authority.
• Cultivate partnerships with Acute Care, Non-Acute Care, Specialty, and Field Sales teams.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
• Represent the voice of the customer internally, aiding in the development of solutions and strategies that enhance operational efficiency, resilience, and patient care.
• Adhere to travel policies, credentialing requirements, and company procedures.
• Undertake other job-related duties as assigned to achieve sales goals and objectives.
• Over 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or health system sales within healthcare, medical products, healthcare services, supply chain, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex relationships with large customers and enterprise-level sales opportunities.
• Experience in engaging with senior healthcare leaders, including those in supply chain, procurement, finance, and executive roles.
• Capability to address complex customer challenges, create innovative solutions, and navigate uncertainty.
• Proven ability to lead through influence, build consensus, and achieve results across cross-functional teams.
• Strong collaborative skills with a background in working across various commercial and operational functions in a matrixed organization.
• Understanding of healthcare supply chain, distribution, healthcare services, or healthcare technology solutions.
• Proficiency in interpreting financial metrics, evaluating business opportunities, and crafting solutions that enhance profitability, customer value, and strategic growth.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments while balancing customer needs with internal priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the assigned region.
• Must reside within or close to the assigned territory and have access to a major airport.
• Capability to work effectively from a remote home office or in the field.
