This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the creation and execution of Amgen's patient affordability strategies that align with the brand's strategic objectives and financial targets.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing management of affordability programs, such as co-pay, coupons, eVoucher, and cash-pay initiatives.
• Identify areas for program improvement and optimization by utilizing performance and operational metrics.
• Conduct assessments of the copay and financial assistance market landscape, along with competitor benchmarking evaluations.
• Collaborate with Brand teams to monitor program performance, progress, and opportunities related to affordability initiatives.
• Work alongside Legal, Compliance, and Safety for the review and approval of Patient Support Programs.
• Partner with Value & Access Insights, Analytics, and Finance to facilitate the financial planning process.
• Keep an eye on market dynamics and industry trends affecting pharmacy and medical benefit products.
• Coordinate with Data & Insights to ensure uniform data management and reporting across programs.
• Track and communicate operational metrics, program performance indicators, and financial data to key stakeholders.
• Supervise team budget management and vendor relationships.
• Address and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Collaborate with PAR channel partners, Marketing, and Sales to promote Patient Affordability solutions.
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships across Value & Access, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Data & Analytics.
• Lead and mentor direct reports while providing training and career development opportunities.
• Cultivate a strong culture and a unified team approach within Patient Access & Reimbursement, Value & Access, Brand, and cross-functional teams.
• Doctorate degree with 4 years of experience in marketing, sales management, and/or payer roles, or a Master’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of applicable experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors, specifically in patient support, market access, marketing, or related commercial functions.
• Proficient understanding of copay design, implementation, and operations.
• Familiarity with available copay solutions, industry best practices, and evolving market conditions.
• Solid knowledge of the compliance and regulatory landscape for manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams within a matrix environment.
• Experience in managing projects that involve multiple functions and shared responsibilities.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to create and present concise, relevant, and well-supported briefings.
• Skill in tailoring presentation content and delivery style to suit the audience.
