This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• Take ownership and expand New Relic’s global competitive intelligence initiative, which includes competitor tracking, battlecards, competitive playbooks, and the CI platform.
• Create and uphold technically precise competitive insights on observability, monitoring, and AIOps competitors.
• Organize product architecture, pricing, roadmap signals, and market positioning into battlecards and playbooks.
• Manage the competitive win/loss analysis program, encompassing customer and representative interviews.
• Convert win/loss insights into success stories, trade stories, and suggestions for Sales and Product leadership.
• Provide guidance to Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, and Analyst Relations on unique positioning strategies.
• Lead go-to-market (GTM) field briefings and present CI performance and technical reports.
• Measure the impact of the CI program on competitive annual recurring revenue (ARR) and win rates for GTM and executive leadership.
• Monitor competitor activities, funding, mergers and acquisitions, and shifts within the category.
• Enhance agentic AI-driven CI workflows and automation, integrating them with Salesforce, Slack, and enablement tools.
• Update executives, sales leadership, and the board on market trends and competitive challenges.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in competitive intelligence, ideally within observability, monitoring, AIOps, DevOps, or infrastructure/cloud software.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required, or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in people management.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in building and managing a CI program and platform at scale across Sales, Marketing, and Product.
• Proven track record in developing battlecards, competitive playbooks, and win/loss programs that significantly enhance competitive win rates.
• Profound knowledge of the competitive landscape in observability, monitoring, and AIOps.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with market intelligence tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to convert complex technical and competitive information into actionable narratives.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Analyst Relations.
• Experience in designing or implementing AI/agentic workflows for CI or GTM enablement, such as AI agents and MCP servers.
• Hands-on experience with Anthropic and Vertex/Gemini APIs.
• Familiarity with integrating CI content into CRM and enablement systems.
