Director, Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of a comprehensive compensation strategy from start to finish

• Develop and implement annual and mid-year compensation cycles

• Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and senior business executives

• Provide guidance on executive offers, retention strategies, organizational modifications, and pay equity inquiries

• Initiate modifications to equity compensation design and communication

• Lead and cultivate a high-performing team of compensation business partners

• Act as a compensation business partner while mentoring the team

• Oversee compensation efforts for international expansion, including frameworks, market data, and guidance for new regions

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 10 years of progressive experience in compensation

• A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role managing people

• Demonstrated experience directly supporting extensive R&D or Engineering divisions

• Experience advising VP/SVP-level executives on complex compensation matters

• In-depth knowledge of equity compensation design and strategy

• Background in a tech company where equity is a fundamental aspect of the compensation philosophy

• Experience in developing compensation programs at scale, including job architecture, market pricing, performance cycles, and pay-for-performance models

• Proficiency in spreadsheet software such as gSheets and Excel

• Strong interest in leveraging AI and technology in compensation-related tasks

• Preferred: Experience supporting Sales/GTM client groups in conjunction with R&D

• Preferred: Familiarity with executive compensation design and strategy

• Preferred: International compensation expertise

• Preferred: Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, or Python
