This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a portfolio of community-oriented and out-of-school-time projects.
• Spearhead SHP’s out-of-school-time strategy, acting as the internal expert for this demographic and delivery setting.
• Supervise pilot projects, enhance and standardize effective models, and direct expansion towards nationwide implementation.
• Ensure the portfolio supports youth violence prevention, influences systems, and aligns with national thought leadership objectives.
• Direct the planning, execution, and ongoing management of programs and community collaborations.
• Provide guidance to organizational leaders on engaging youth outside of conventional educational settings.
• Oversee contractors to guarantee high-quality outputs.
• Mentor, coach, and develop managers to meet partnership and program objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers, community organizations, national networks, funders, and key stakeholders.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives by defining ownership, roles, decision-making authority, timelines, and stakeholder strategies.
• Offer organizational leaders succinct updates and represent SHP in meetings and presentations with partners, funders, and in the field.
• Represent the portfolio in Director-level committees and leadership discussions.
• Create scalable tools, processes, and resources for partner selection, readiness, pilot projects, implementation, communication, documentation, risk management, sustainability, dissemination, and project closeout.
• Capture and document lessons learned and best practices for replication and scaling.
• Utilize feedback and evaluation results to enhance implementation and guide investment and scaling decisions.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, scopes of work, consultants, vendors, and grant deliverables.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Strong commitment to SHP’s mission and core values.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience leading out-of-school-time programs, youth-focused initiatives, community partnerships, or intricate cross-sector programs.
• Extensive knowledge of the out-of-school-time sector and community organizations and youth-serving networks.
• Experience in designing, launching, assessing, and scaling pilot programs and initiatives.
• Exceptional project management capabilities, including experience in cross-functional collaboration, budgeting, timelines, stakeholder relations, and managing competing priorities.
• Ability to cultivate partnerships and influence outcomes across organizations and stakeholder groups without direct authority.
• Proven experience in developing operational processes, systems, and infrastructure to support program implementation and scale.
• Outstanding judgment, communication, and relationship management abilities.
• Proficient in engaging effectively with executive leaders, partners, funders, and community stakeholders.
• Skilled in using data, evaluation results, and partner feedback for continuous improvement and decision-making.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, vendors, consultants, and grant deliverables.
• Strong commitment to culturally responsive, equitable, and community-centered practices.
• Experience with remote or geographically dispersed organizations is preferred.
• Candidates must reside in the U.S.
• Candidates should provide a project plan document or presentation deck from a prior project and discuss contributions, decisions, outcomes, challenges, and lessons learned.
