This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the strategy and roadmap for commercial systems encompassing CRM, commercial data, field enablement, and integrated commercial platforms.
• Establish ownership and decision-making authority for commercial systems.
• Align stakeholders on requirements, process modifications, data definitions, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee the delivery of commercial systems from the planning phase through to user adoption.
• Coordinate with internal teams and implementation partners, manage dependencies and risks, and supervise milestones, quality assurance, and operational readiness.
• Manage business requirements and service expectations for CRM and its connections to commercial data, digital engagement, and pertinent ERP workflows.
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics to define commercial data and reporting capabilities, including sourcing requirements, data quality, timeliness, and business definitions.
• Oversee vendor performance, service expectations, and the investment plan for commercial systems.
• Lead the development of business cases, assess platform options, and manage approved budgets, license usage, and renewals.
• Direct launch readiness, user acceptance testing, training, and change management initiatives.
• Establish metrics for adoption, support coverage, escalation pathways, and contingency strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Quality teams on access controls, data stewardship, change management, and compliance obligations.
• Report directly to the Vice President of Information Technology and lead the Commercial Systems function within IT.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in commercial technology, enterprise applications, commercial operations systems, or similar roles, with a focus on leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in supporting commercial operations in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors, with a proven record of delivering systems for product launches or significant commercial expansions.
• Strong comprehension of CRM, field workflows, commercial data, digital engagement, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Veeva, Salesforce, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Ability to convert commercial strategies into actionable roadmaps, business cases, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in managing technology vendors and associated budgets.
• Technical proficiency in data flows, APIs, integration patterns, and cloud data platforms.
• Background in leading requirements definition, user acceptance testing, change management, training, and the transition to ongoing support.
• Experience in collaboration with IT, Security, Legal, Privacy, and Quality departments.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence across various functions.
• Proven success in developing team capabilities and ensuring accountability among internal and external partners.
