This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the expansion efforts in the vital data center market.
• Formulate and take charge of the company's go-to-market strategy for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and hybrid environments.
• Recognize trends in power, cooling, redundancy, resiliency, and energy efficiency, translating them into viable business opportunities.
• Construct and oversee a multi-year pipeline that aligns with strategic growth goals.
• Cultivate relationships with data center developers, operators, site-selection teams, owner's representatives, engineering firms, and consultants.
• Create strategic partnerships, alliances, and referral networks.
• Position the company as a trusted advisor in operational resilience, energy efficiency, and integrated infrastructure services.
• Identify, qualify, and secure significant data center opportunities.
• Manage complex pursuits from initial strategy through proposal development, pricing, negotiations, and closure.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and executive leadership to create competitive solutions.
• Forge long-term relationships with executive, technical, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct strategic briefings, investment discussions, and solution presentations.
• Work with marketing on data center messaging, case studies, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Provide market intelligence and insights for future product and solution development.
• Ensure internal teams are informed about evolving customer needs and market opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Systems, Technology Infrastructure, or a related discipline.
• 7–10+ years of business development experience in mission-critical industries such as data centers, digital infrastructure, energy services, mechanical/electrical systems, or utility services.
• Demonstrated success in securing large-scale opportunities and multi-million-dollar projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of data center purchasing processes, development considerations, and vendor ecosystems.
• Strong technical and financial skills, including the capability to articulate ROI, lifecycle value, resiliency, and operational impact.
• Proven track record of market development, establishing sales channels, and executing growth strategies with minimal supervision.
• Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Capacity to navigate large, complex decision-making organizations and influence diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Ability to assess and prioritize opportunities based on strategic value and ROI.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%–50%, including overnight and occasional weekend trips.
• Preferred: Experience in data center resiliency planning or distributed energy resources.
• Preferred: Established connections with hyperscale or colocation providers.
• Preferred: Experience in selling O&M, performance contracting, energy infrastructure, or multisite service solutions.
• Base salary ranging from $200,000 to $275,000.
• Sales incentive potential between $300,000 and $500,000+.
• Potential for uncapped earnings.
