This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Develop strategic initiatives and campaigns to secure new orders and expand business operations in North America.
• Manage opportunities from inception to profitability, ensuring sustainable growth in the market.
• Oversee the creation of bids, proposals, and customer-centric value propositions.
• Collaborate with strategic partners effectively.
• Represent OpenWorks during formal presentations, expert panels, demonstrations, and individual meetings.
• Travel throughout North America to connect with customers and partners.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and compliance with US and international laws.
• Shape, guide, and implement business development strategies for OpenWorks’ counter-UAS technology.
• Foster relationships with end users, partners, and internal teams.
• Drive the adoption of counter-UAS technology among defense and security clientele.
• Extensive experience in the defense and security industry.
• In-depth knowledge of multi-domain defense applications and counter-UAS technologies.
• Proven history of creating successful and profitable business campaigns and sales strategies.
• Innovative mindset with the motivation to seek, identify, and assess new opportunities.
• Dedication to enhancing business development and sales processes continuously.
• Exceptional communication abilities, including the capacity to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel and represent OpenWorks to clients and suppliers, including supporting system integration tasks.
• Confident presentation style suited for engaging senior stakeholders across industry, government, and military sectors.
• Strong skills in building internal relationships.
• Possession of a full driving license.
• Capability to obtain or currently hold security clearance.
• An engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Military background and/or experience in the defense sector is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electro-optics and counter-UAS technologies is a plus.
• Existing connections with key authorities and industry integrators are desirable.
