This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create an annual sales and business development plan aimed at acquiring new partnerships while retaining and reengaging existing ones.
• Keep track of education policies, funding sources, and market dynamics to shape strategic direction.
• Perform market research and competitive assessments to steer growth objectives.
• Formulate business cases and proposals for new markets, services, and strategic alliances.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on campaigns for lead generation and opportunities for thought leadership.
• Research and outline a comprehensive cross-selling strategy across the organization.
• Design national and local approaches for identifying and prioritizing funding opportunities.
• Work together on funder prioritization, grant timelines, and strategic positioning.
• Leverage in-person events to foster relationships with educational leaders and grant providers.
• Facilitate focus groups and listening sessions with practitioners at the district level.
• Generate structured insight briefs for senior leadership.
• Prepare briefing documents and strategic assistance for executive-level interactions.
• Develop and implement a strategy for identifying pertinent state and district RFPs and RFIs.
• Maintain a tracker for RFPs/RFIs that includes deadlines, requirements, and submission statuses.
• Initiate response processes and keep the Senior Vice President of Professional Services updated.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and program personnel on complex proposals.
• Ensure state and district vendor registrations are current and adhere to bidding and response procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in education, business, nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or a related field — Required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, fundraising, consulting, or client relationship management — Required.
• Proven track record in developing strategies and securing partnerships, philanthropic grants, or service agreements — Required.
• Strong strategic and analytical capabilities — adept at converting market intelligence into actionable sales, reengagement, and funding strategies.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
• Understanding of revenue generation, pricing strategies, contract development, and financial sustainability.
• Capability to manage multiple strategic initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or MemberSuite is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications; familiarity with iOS/Mac is a plus.
